sorry everyone. I almost forgot about this thing.

today I went to work.

ran home, (about 4 miles) but at about the 2.5 mile mark I saw 2 dogs wondering along in the middle of the road. I tried to persuade them to come near me so I could see their tags and locate their homes/owners. It did not work. (some) Dogs just don't want to trust. SO I ran behind them through hill, valley, and mountain (ahem... across a parking lot), until alas they stopped for they were weary (I for abundance of endurance was not). At this time I sat down on a grassy patch of land, and began to try to reach some sort of agreement with the stubborn creatures. I talked with them, told them about my day (all in hopes of making my way into their small hearts), I told them of my likes and dislikes, my travels and journeys.

And finally (!) they granted me permission to glance at their tags. I quickly memorized the phone numbers on their tags and ran miles (...or yards) to the closest home. There I stood engulfed by my own sweat and struggling for breath begging to use a telephone. The woman that came to the door listened carefully to my story baffled, bemused, and slightly amused. She happily let me in. I tried one number... it lead me to an automated voicemail system for the kent animal control center. The number had been disconnected. DISCONNECTED! Ah, the disappointment, the bitter taste that was indeed defeat.

The woman tried to console me and assured me my efforts were not in vain. I thanked her for her time and generosity and we talked briefly as two middle-aged women (wait... I am 19- for the record) about our disappointing appearances (she not showered, and I covered in sweat), she tried futilely to set me up with her eldest son of 20 who was apparently "very handsome, and a fair runner." I declined and went on my way.

There was nothing more to be done. I thought about carrying the dogs home, but I could only take one at a time and the risk of separation was too much. It would have been more devastating to separate them to have them spend the last of their days together. So I continued on. I ran on and did not glance back. There will always be those things that cannot be helped or fixed. Why, I do not know.

p.s. I bought this today. I can go on to school in peace.

hello all.

first of all:

Tammy: So, Kristy, still going out with that a-hole Paul?
Kristy: I told Paul to haul ass!
Missy: More like he told you!
Kristy: Not even. He came over, and I went to get the mail, and when I came back, and I was all, "Did you use my phone to call a girl?" And he was all, "No!" So I picked it up, and I hit redial, and, lo and behold.. beep bop beep boop beep beep beep "Hello?" I'm all, "You're busted, sweetie.. and so are you, Paul! GET OUT!!
Lucy: Wow! you are the queen of phone trickery!

soooooooooooooooooooooooooo scrumptious!

to real entry:

Summer is just one of those stunningly beautiful seasons; every year I have this kind of epiphany, I am always awestruck by long summer days and they way they melt perfectly into summer evenings. I can't believe that I am so lucky as to take this in!

This summer has proven to be very busy and fairly productive. For everyone that doesn't know I am going up to northern in the fall... lets here it for 200 feet of snow! uhhhh, right. This week I missed out on EGR's Tuesday night concert and Wednesdays blues on the mall, so boo on that. BUT last night did redeem itself because mary and I landed a humongomous bag of free popcorn from smittys. Smitty's has popcorn you ask? yes, yes they do and on occasion its free, if you know the system...

Woah! I just found a sharpie marker, life is looking good!

I have nothing further to say, have a good week everyone!

Jessie

P.S. I moved back home, its nice to be back I s'pose.

Presently i am at the library returning my roomate's OVERDUE book.... and there is this suspicious looking man seated across from me. he keeps scowling and then shaking. i don't know if this is voluntary or not, but i find myelf slighly concerned. its like coming here to the library to check my email/xanga/facebook just puts myself in a world of endless open-ness. even more frigthening than putting your thoughts onto the internet for complete strangers to read is putting your lingering curiosities into a space where people closer than strangers can hold them at length, there they can make judgement about intellect and character  based on these short entries. why do we do this?

i have less and less to say. i am so glad summer is comming up. It's similar to driving way the heck out to the beach and being only two exits away. oh the excitement.

I had the best day with emily on friday, we pretended it was summer, and we were free from all of our worries.

and then yesterday mark got me these cherry cordial kisses... they are delightful!

So this week is gonna be wierd, its the first week away from school. which i am really sad about, and my roomates are leaving... ao there's gonna be a kegger on wednesday, ha jk. no, i really miss those two girls, who in the world will razz me about everything? really.

jessie.

p.s. Can you get kegs full of lemonade?

so life is good.

i'm at my parent's house and i just had a full meal! mmmmm....

I have so much work to do but i choose xanga instead... i will be regretting my choice at midnight i can see it now.

For the past two mornings i've been given FREE ICE CREAM.... i mean really how much better can life really be? good weather, good friends, free ice cream. geesh.

in other news:

Christen got bit by Leah (formerly known as one of the sweetest cats ever)... and then we went to Wing Heaven. Shortly thereafter I met St. Peter... and what I mean by that is simply that those wings were A-mazing! I can't even wait to go again!

and

Bush is a frickin moron.... ugh. How many more years do we have?

all my love,

Jessie

p.s. extra amounts of  love for Nubia.
